Hootworthy or not?
🦉 Owl Be Reading Review: Going Solo by Roald Dahl 📚 Hoot Factor – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was such an interesting read! It was so different from Roald Dahl’s fiction because it was about his real-life adventures. I especially enjoyed the parts where he describes his time as a pilot and the incredible things he saw and experienced. Some parts were a bit slower, but overall it was fascinating. 🎨 Owl-some Illustrations – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The photographs and maps added a lot to the story. They made it feel more like stepping back in time and seeing what Dahl himself saw. 💡 Little Owl’s Takeaway – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Courage can take you to the most unexpected places, and real-life stories can sometimes be even more amazing than made-up ones. 💬 Hoot or Boot? – 4/5 Hoots – Adventurous Hoot! An inspiring look at Roald Dahl’s life and bravery. A great read for anyone who wants to know the man behind the famous stories.

Book details
As a young man, Roald Dahl's adventures took him from London to East Africa, until the Second World War began and he became a RAF pilot. You'll read stories of whizzing through the air in a Tiger Moth Plane, encounters with deadly green mambas and hungry lions, and the terrible crash that led him to storytelling. Going Solo is exciting, enthralling and just like its prequel Boy - it's all TRUE..
