Hootworthy or not?
🦉 Owl Be Reading Review: Boy: Tales of Childhood by Roald Dahl 📚 Hoot Factor – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was really interesting to learn about Roald Dahl’s own childhood. Some parts were very funny, and others were quite shocking, especially how strict things were back then! 🎨 Owl-some Illustrations – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Quentin Blake pictures were funny and matched Roald Dahl’s stories perfectly, as always. 💡 Little Owl’s Takeaway – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Writers get ideas from real life and sometimes real life is stranger than fiction! 💬 Hoot or Boot? – 4/5 Hoots – Memory Hoot! I liked hearing about the pranks and odd things from his life. A good read for fans of his books who want to know more about him.

Book details
As a boy, all sorts of unusual things happened to Roald Dahl. There was the time he and four school friends got their revenge on beastly Mrs Prachett in her sweet shop. There are stories of holidays in fishing boats, African adventures and the days of tasting chocolate for Cadbury's. You'll hear tales of horrible school bullies and the motor-car accident when Roald's nose was nearly sliced clean off . . . Roald Dahl vividly shares his memories; some are funny. Some are painful. Some are unpleasant. All are true. You can listen to all of Roald Dahl's stories on Puffin Audiobooks, read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy sound effects from Pinewood Studios!
